It’s summer,
and as a mother and teacher I know the importance of having kids continue
reading during their months off of school, but it is NOT always easy. As adults we know reading is rewarding,
but now we can reward them for reading as well. There are several opportunities
provided throughout the community to reward kids for reading, so make sure to
share these with your kids and students in order to keep them motivated about
reading during the summer months.

Wow…thanks for sharing this. I didn't realize that Pottery Barn Kids had a program for summer reading. This a great list to have.

You're welcome. I usually try to write the list up for my students before school ends in hopes that it will inspire them to keep reading. I also use it to force (I mean, inspire) my own kids to read. 😉
