1. Expo Markers
For good reason, Expo Markers are probably the most loved brand of dry erase markers. Just look at the amount of reviews these have received.
They are long lasting, bright, and come in a variety of great colors that are perfect for color coding images or writing samples on the board.

The first set is the 12-pack of Expo Markers which is the one I always purchase at the start of the school year. It is my favorite color combination.

9. Post-It Notes

10. Post-It Easel Pads
These Post-It Easel Pads are SO convenient for anchor charts or group work, but man can they be costly. They are a manageable size and stick well to walls or bulletin boards.

11. Colored Sentence Strips
Having colored sentence strips on hand is very convenient. I used them for centers, spelling, and punctuation activities. This set is amazing because it is made of cardstock making them more durable than regular sentence strips.

13. Personal Thermal Laminator
For many years, I put off purchasing two things that I didn’t want to spend the money on, but once I got it, I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long. One of these was a personal laminator. It has saved me SO much time throughout the year. The ability to be able to laminate on demand is a huge advantage. Scotch thermal laminators are one of the favorites of teachers.
14. Personal Paper Cutter
A personal paper cutter was the second thing I wish I would not have put off buying. I would stack up all my papers and take them to the media center or office. I lost so much time heading there and back, plus not mention the time spent talking to co-workers while I was there. 15. Tabletop Magnetic Board
Having a small magnetic table top dry erase board was a saving grace in my classroom during small group instruction.
This magnetic board is ideal! It is a nice size that allows you clip on an anchor chart while still giving you room to write. It is foldable and is double sided. Having two sides makes it easy to switch over and not have to erase information you may want to share with another group.
16. Colorful Magnetic Clips

17. Self-Adhesive Magnets
Whether it’s to change the names on the board for centers or to display your classroom schedule, self-adhesive magnets are extremely convenient to have around. I might actually say they are a necessity in the classroom.
I preferred the 3M Adhesive squares because most of what I displayed was rectangular. These worked great!

One of my favorite classroom supplies are dry erase pockets. I used them all the time as whole class response boards. I would ask a question or showcase a task card and the students would write their answer on their response board. Once I would count to 3, every student would hold up their response board. It was a great way to keep every student accountable and it also allowed me to assess students quickly.

Whether it’s a large classroom rug or a small one at the entrance of your classroom, you know those corners can start to pop up. Grad a set of rug corner holders to help eliminate tripping.

It is great for making booklets for students, but I personally love it for making booklets from print outs I get from classes, workshops or conferences I attend.
